Our students go through so much in the 21st century, and reflecting on their experiences provides much insight into how we can support them. In this session, Mr. Brick Cullum (AR History Teacher of the Year 2022) recalls his experiences being bullied in middle school, junior high, and high school to provide participants with an opportunity for introspection. This story of overcoming obstacles and embracing possibilities showcases a clear message of uplift. Deep, meaningful strategies for supporting students are highlighted, as well as clear connections to learning.
