Dive into the heart of 3D learning with this professional development session designed to model an elementary science lesson using phenomenon-based teaching. Participants will experience how anchoring instruction in real-world phenomena fosters student curiosity, engages critical thinking, and supports the integration of the three dimensions of science learning: disciplinary core ideas (DCIs), science and engineering practices (SEPs), and crosscutting concepts (CCCs). This session will also explore practical strategies to utilize and supplement your current curriculum ("science weekly") to deepen science understanding while integrating phenomenon based teaching and incorporating literacy practices.
